Workspace Home
The Numara FootPrints Mobile homepage is a very slimmed down version of the regular FootPrints homepage. The homepage is displayed when you click the Workspace Home link, which is displayed at the bottom of all the FootPrints Mobile pages along with the Search, Change Workspace, Create Issue, Select Contact, and Logout links.
When you click the Workspace Home link, the following components are displayed:
- Display Drop-down field - At the top of the page is the Display Drop-down field, allowing you to quickly select the list you'll see below it. The default selection is My Assignments. Select another list from the drop-down to view the Issues that meet the list criteria.
- Refresh link - To the right of the Display Drop-down field is a link for refreshing your browser.
- Main frame - A list of Issues is displayed in the main frame of the homepage. The list is based on your Display Drop-down selection. The list headings are selected by the FootPrints workspace administrator and not by the individual user. In the full version of FootPrints, users select the fields that are displayed via the Preferences page.
View Details of an Issue
To view the details of an Issue from the homepage, click the Issue number or title in the list. The details page of the Issue is displayed.
The details page is a slimmed down version of the full FootPrints details page. The fields that are displayed for the Issue are selected by the administrator, so it may be that not all fields are shown in Numara FootPrints Mobile.
A set of links are displayed at the top of the details page:
- Details - Redisplays the current page.
- Edit - Displays the edit page of the Issue.
- History - Displays the Issue History.
- Time Tracking - Displays the time tracking info.
- View All Details/Mobile View - The normal view from the mobile device displays only a limited set of fields as chosen by the workspace administrator. Mobile users, however, can view all of the details of an Issue by selecting the View All Details link. The link is then relabeled "Mobile View" and users can redisplay the mobile view by clicking it.
Edit an Issue
To edit an Issue from the homepage, click the Edit icon of the Issue. The edit page is displayed. Users complete the edit page in the normal manner, entering data into fields and submitting the Issue with the SAVE button at the bottom of the page. Mandatory fields are displayed in a different color and with an asterisk next to the field name, just as on the full version of FootPrints.
A set of links are displayed at the top of the edit page:
- Details - Displays the details page.
- Edit - Redisplays the current page. If you click the Edit link, any data you entered will be lost. Note that automatic time tracking does not work in Numara FootPrints Mobile, so it will be necessary for users to enter the time tracking data into Issues to update that record.
- History - Displays the Issue History.
- Time Tracking - Displays the time tracking info.
